Together, their promise to you, quite simply is: Compassion. Confidence. Experience. Results.

Unafraid to take on powerful interests and defendants across all industries, including major institutions and banks, universities, powerful sports figures, politicians, music stars, and actors, we have represented plaintiffs in some of the most closely watched sexual harassment and sexual assault cases of the last decade. Combined, the two firms have represented more Harvey Weinstein victims than any other law firm.

In 2011, years before the #MeToo movement, Wigdor LLP successfully represented Nafissatou Diallo, a housekeeper at the Sofitel hotel in NYC who was sexually assaulted by Dominique Strauss-Kahn, the front-runner to unseat Nicolas Sarkozy in the 2012 French presidential election. The case, which legal experts describe as laying the groundwork for future #MeToo litigation, is the subject of a Netflix documentary. Read More >>

What is the Adult Survivors Act?

The Adult Survivors Act is a New York State law that allows adult survivors of sexual misconduct to sue the perpetrators – and the institutions that enabled them – in civil court, no matter how long ago these incidents happened.

Between November 24, 2022, and November 23, 2023, survivors who were 18 or older at the time they were victimized will have the opportunity to seek justice and accountability without worrying that the statute of limitations has passed.

Hear from survivors and legal experts on the importance of finding the right legal team to handle your Adult Survivors Act claim.

TARALE WULFF, Model
In 2005, Tarale was sexually assaulted by Harvey Weinstein. On January 29, 2020, she testified at the criminal trial in New York where he was convicted.

“I never thought that Harvey Weinstein would be held accountable for what he did to me and other women. That all changed when I found the courage to speak up and tell my story out loud. I am so glad I did. Having the right lawyer is critical to the process of healing and being made whole. Only a true legal expert can help you navigate this process with the right combination of sensitivity and know-how to ensure that the person who harmed you pays.”

DOUGLAS WIGDOR, Founding Partner at Wigdor LLP
One of New York's most successful employment attorneys, ranked a Top 100 attorney in the New York Metro area by Super Lawyers.

From Fox News to Harvey Weinstein, I’ve spent my career creating a platform for survivors to share their stories of sexual misconduct and assault and hold their perpetrators accountable. The Adult Survivors Act is an opportunity for even more survivors to take back their voice and seek the justice they deserve, without having to worry about the Statute of Limitations.”

JEANNE M. CHRISTENSEN, Partner at Wigdor LLP
One of the most prominent female attorneys within the field of employment litigation. She was one of only 15 female lawyers in the country to be named an Elite Trial Lawyer by the National Law Journal in 2022.

“Survivors of sexual assault often feel overwhelmed, apprehensive, and experience the feeling of loss of control that can last for years. By recognizing that everyone processes these events differently, the Adult Survivors Act empowers victims to speak up and regain control. We stand ready to counsel, advise, and fight for anyone who is a survivor of sexual assault or sexual harassment.”

KEVIN MINTZER , Founder at The Law Office of Kevin Mintzer
A specialist with over 25 years of litigation and counseling experience who has represented clients in high-profile employment discrimination, sexual harassment, and sexual assault cases.

“We helped pass the Adult Survivors Act to ensure that powerful predators who inflict sexual harm on others, and those who enabled them, pay dearly for what they have done. Survivors and victims have been silenced for far too long. We’re here to help them speak their truth, get their day in court, and get their due. Those who perpetrate these crimes, and the parties who knowingly look the other way or cover up for them, are now on notice.”

LAURA E. EDIDIN, Of Counsel at Wigdor LLP
Over 25 years of experience responding to allegations of sexual violence, human trafficking, LGBTQ+ rights violations and other civil and criminal wrongdoing.

“The Adult Survivors Act is an example of trauma-informed legislative work. Survivors deserve to be able to tell their story, regardless of how long it takes them to find the words. This legislative act will allow thousands of survivors to pursue legal action when it is right for them, in their healing process.”
