About us

The lawyers at Wigdor LLP and The Law Office of Kevin Mintzer are leading advocates for survivors of sexual harassment, assault, and rape. Our two firms combined have handled countless cases on behalf of survivors, individually and on a class basis, including many high-profile cases.

Unafraid to take on powerful interests and defendants across all industries, including major institutions and banks, universities, powerful sports figures, politicians, music stars, and actors, we have litigated cases against Uber, Fox News, The Grammys, Bill O’Reilly, NY1, and Dominique Strauss-Kahn. Wigdor LLP and The Law Office of Kevin Mintzer represented Deborah Dugan in her case against the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences (The Grammys) and represented more Harvey Weinstein victims than any other law firm, including two witnesses who testified in the criminal trial.

Current cases on behalf of victims with civil claims for sexual assault include:  Guzel Ganieva v. Leon Black, a case alleging sexual assault and rape against Leon Black, the Wall Street billionaire and founder of Apollo Global Management;  Trooper 1 v. Andrew Cuomo, et al., a case involving a female New York State Trooper who alleges sexual harassment against former Governor Andrew Cuomo, and Jennifer Eckhart v. Fox News and Ed Henry, a case involving allegations of sexual assault and rape against a former Fox news anchor.

The team includes former leading prosecutors. Their experience in the criminal justice system greatly assists in the prosecution of these matters under the Adult Survivors Act. We are trained to handle matters such as these with the utmost sensitivity. It is critical for survivors to speak to lawyers who have focused their law practice on this complex area of the civil law for decades.

No one knows the Adult Survivors Act better than the lawyers at Wigdor LLP and The Law Office of Kevin Mintzer. Our two law firms helped pass the law itself and focus their practice on civil claims arising out of sex crimes including forcible touching, sexual assault, and rape. We have won multiple prestigious awards and accolades, and to date, they have recovered well over one billion dollars on behalf of our clients.

With a long history of helping survivors seek out accountability, Wigdor LLP and The Law Office of Kevin Mintzer have received many prestigious awards and accolades as well as appearing in documentaries about high-profile cases. Doug Wigdor, of Wigdor LLP, was featured in the Netflix docuseries “Room 2806: The Accusation” about the sexual assault case against French politician Dominique Strauss-Kahn. Jeanne Christensen was featured in the documentary about perpetrator Harvey Weinstein, “The Reckoning: Hollywood's Worst Kept Secret”. Wigdor LLP was a recipient of Billboard’s Top Music Lawyers Award, a Chambers and Partners Labor and Employment Law Firm of the Year nominee and was named one of the most feared law firms in the Country by BTI Consulting.
